To provide help and hope to all through the Catholic tradition of service.

About us

In 1912, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City (CCOKC) opened our doors and our hearts to helping the people of Oklahoma. In the years since, CCOKC has grown from a small orphanage in northwest Oklahoma City into a multi-faceted service organization with 14 programs and five locations serving 19,000 annually throughout the western two-thirds of the state. CCOKC does not try to be all things to all people – we attempt to serve where others are not, and to partner effectively with service agencies across the communities in which we serve. Throughout its history, CCOKC has been deeply rooted in Oklahoma communities, kindling hope and supporting Oklahomans in times of need. • The Great Depression: Our young organization expanded to deliver a safe home to orphaned and abandoned Oklahoma children in the 1930s. • Wartime Migration: CCOKC provided a helping hand and a resettlement plan to refugees arriving from south Asia in the 1960s and 1970s. • Oklahoma City Bombing--When tragedy struck the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building on April 19, 1995, CCOKC was there, offering counseling and long-term case management to those affected. • May 1999 and May 2013 Tornadoes--On two fateful spring days almost 15 years apart, two of the nation’s largest tornadoes touched down in Oklahoma, and CCOKC’s Disaster Relief program quickly provided essential services and a road map to recovery for thousands of families. Today, the major programs of CCOKC include Family HOPE case management; emergency rent and utility assistance; Sanctuary Women's Development Centers and Holy Family Home for homeless women and children; immigration legal services; refugee resettlement; counseling; sponsored housing services for families and seniors; disaster response; adoption and pregnancy services; support and development of educational outreach programs; and advocacy. CCOKC operates offices in Clinton, Enid, Guymon, Lawton, Oklahoma City and in 2015 Ardmore.

  • Elizabeth Harper’s journey is a powerful example of resilience, community support, and the life-changing work of Catholic Charities. Arriving in Woodward, OK, from Phoenix with only $500 and no place to live, Elizabeth faced the challenges of homelessness, blindness, and ongoing dialysis treatments. But with the help of Catholic Charities and our dedicated partners, she found a home and a renewed sense of independence. Navigating life with visual impairment and serious health conditions, Elizabeth’s story reminds us that no challenge is too great when compassion and community come together. Her case manager in Woodward provided critical support, from securing her an apartment to helping her access essential resources like Social Security and Services for the Blind, allowing Elizabeth to start rebuilding her life. Elizabeth’s transformation is a testament to the power of faith, determination, and community support. With guidance and the right resources, she’s now learning to live independently, pay it forward, and look toward a brighter future. This would not be possible without generous contributions from supporters like you. Your donations directly impact individuals like Elizabeth, helping them overcome obstacles and regain stability and dignity. Shane’s mobile home in Slaughterville was severely damaged, and his road to recovery was anything but easy. Thanks to Catholic Charities Disaster Services, Shane received the advocacy and support he needed—from securing additional FEMA funds to navigating contractor issues. Shane’s resilience, combined with the support of our dedicated team and community partners, helped him rebuild his home and his peace of mind. This year alone, Catholic Charities Disaster Services has assisted over 350 individuals affected by tornadoes and wildfires, providing critical resources and long-term recovery assistance. Today, Inasmuch Foundation is pleased to announce that the Spring 2024 grant cycle is the largest in Foundation history with over $22 million awarded to 55 different nonprofit organizations. 🎉 This major milestone is only possible thanks to thoughtful leadership from our board and staff as well as a shift in fiscal years, which allowed us to push additional resources into the community to further our partners’ impact.
