We are excited to announce the newest addition to our Connecticut underwriting team at CATIC, Bill Peacock, who joins us as Title Counsel in our Rocky Hill office. Bill received his J.D. from Stetson University College of Law and has over 20 years of real estate closing and title experience. Bill started his career as a real estate attorney in Florida, where he managed a large residential and commercial closing practice. In 2010, Bill moved to Connecticut and, for eleven years, worked at two large Connecticut real estate law firms. At those firms, Bill handled all aspects of foreclosure matters, from drafting complaints, to handling mediation, attending hearings, and resolving all title issues that arose during the foreclosure process. At one time Bill managed a team that included ten paralegals. For the past three years, Bill has worked as underwriting counsel for a national title insurance company. With his vast experience in real estate closings, title clearance, and law firm management and operations, Bill brings a wealth of knowledge to our Connecticut underwriting team. Additionally, his background in private practice gives him insight into the daily pressures and needs of the Connecticut attorney and paralegal, which will enable Bill to provide fast, creative, and practical solutions for our agents and their staff. We are excited to announce the newest addition to our SE team at CATIC, Laura Andrew, who joins us as an Agency Advisor in the state of Georgia. Laura received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Literature, from Georgia State University. Laura has 15+ years of title experience, having worked for one of Georgia’s premier real estate law firms and two multi-state title companies. With experience in title and escrow, closing, business operations, and learning and development, she brings a wealth of knowledge to our SE team.
