The 2024 PropConnex Competition in Sydney showcased the sheer talent of 68 students across 12 universities to some of the industry’s leading property figures. The event connects university students interested in real estate with industry leaders. Students are tested by presenting their investment recommendations for a fictional case study to a very real board of judges. Congratulations to the winning teams that will move on to the global competition held in New York City this November. Special thanks to our very own Chris Johnston, Alex Crossing and Sandy Padilla who helped judge the presentations, mentor the students and share insights into a career in the real estate industry. CBRE IM is proud to play a crucial role in delivering this event as a sponsor alongside CBRE, Brookfield Properties, ISPT, QIC Real Estate, Blackstone, Investa, Cliffbrook Capital, MA Financial Group, NAB, Greystar, Fife Capital and Wentworth Capital.

It can also lead to a talent drain over time," commented Hannah Marshall, CIO – UK Direct Real Estate Strategies at CBRE Investment Management. She shared her view with IPE Real Assets on one of the emerging threats facing European cities: the lack of #affordable #housing. A major focus of the chat? The #AI infrastructure revolution. Robert commented: “AI has both supercharged an existing trend and brought data centers and power availability into public discourse.
