Baby formula is a lifeline for millions of families — but a Consumer Reports study found what it says are concerning levels of contaminants, like lead and arsenic, in some formulas. It comes as the federal government announces initiatives aimed at making infant formulas safer.

Google has identified thousands of business listings that were either taken over by bad actors or fraudulently created. In a CBS Mornings Plus exclusive, Google’s general counsel Halimah DeLaine Prado shares that the tech company is now taking legal action against scam networks that point consumers toward fake businesses.

At least 15 reports of vandalism to Tesla vehicles and dealerships have been made in the U.S. this year — including a fire at a Tesla repair center in Las Vegas on Tuesday, in which multiple cars went up in flames after police say an attacker used Molotov cocktails. The attacks began after Tesla CEO Elon Musk took on the job of slashing federal government spending.

BREAKING: The Federal Reserve held its benchmark interest rate steady on Wednesday. The Fed said it will maintain the federal funds rate at its current range of 4.25% to 4.5%. "Uncertainty around the economic outlook has increased," the Fed stated in its announcement.

The Federal Reserve will meet today to make its second interest rate decision of the year with economists predicting rates will be held steady. CBS News business analyst Jill Schlesinger more.
