✨ Celebrating Excellence in Connecticut! 🎸🏅 On Wednesday Governor Lamont unveiled the inaugural Connecticut Governor’s Award of Excellence. 🔗https://ow.ly/OtuL50VcUEx We are thrilled to finally share that CCAT's very own Oscar Montanez3D printed the Award of Excellence. The recipient? Legendary Rolling Stones Guitarist, Keith Richards! Oscar used Stereolithography (SLA) 3D printing on our Formlabs Form3L system at the Advanced Technology Center with resin material to create the award. After printing, he hand-finished details to give it a prestigious look. 🔧🎖️ Fun Facts: ✔️It combines modern digital tools for design and 3D printing (SLA), which is the oldest additive manufacturing technology from 1984. ✔️SLA stereolithography, developed by 3D printing pioneer Charles Hull in 1984, is the oldest additive manufacturing technique. It uses a laser to cure photopolymer resins into 3D objects. 🏅 "Creating this medal is a testament to our commitment to excellence. It symbolizes the integration of innovation, advanced technology, and craftsmanship — core to our mission of empowering industry and community." - CCAT's CTO, Jacquelynn Garofano 💡We offer this system on loan to manufacturers as part of our Additive QuickStart Program.
