At CCL, we know that heart health starts with what you eat, especially for our senior community members. As we celebrate American Heart Month, we're reminded of how powerful good nutrition and healthy eating choices can be for your heart. For seniors, eating heart-healthy is key to lowering the risk of heart disease, managing chronic conditions, and boosting overall well-being. By offering nutritious, heart-healthy meals in senior living communities, we can make a difference in quality of life. Heart-Healthy Eating for Seniors Includes: -Fresh fruits and veggies, whole grains and lean proteins, healthy fats like olive oil and avocado, cutting back on sodium and added sugars We're committed to supporting senior living communities with meal options that are good for the heart and tasty, too. Together, we can create environments that focus on heart health and delicious dining experiences. #hearthealth #seniorliving #americanhearthmonth #cclhospitality

Empowering the future of senior living—stronger teams, stronger impact. A big thank you to Wesley Des Moines for hosting us at our recent training, where we brought key leaders together to dive into Our executional framework, discuss its core principles, and explore how it can elevate our partnerships. Through meaningful discussions, we connected these principles to real-world impact, ensuring clarity and consistency for teams at every level. As we continue rolling this out, we’re excited to reach teams across the country, reinforcing our commitment to service excellence and consistency every step of the way. Great job, teams! #seniorliving #culinary #foodservice #hospitality #serviceexcellence #CCLHospitality

Thank you, Chester Page, Jr, for sharing your story! Your dedication to creating a culture of belonging, makes a significant impact within our organization. We’re proud to have you as part of our team and grateful for the way you inspire others to embrace and celebrate each other. Happy #BlackHistoryMonth!
Dynamic, vision-driven people leader with an extensive background in Hospitality, Operations and Human Resource. Always People First and how I can support their success!
As we celebrate #BlackHistoryMonth, I am excited to spotlight Chester Page, Jr., a remarkable individual from CCL Hospitality Group and Compass Group USA. Chester’s heritage is a rich tapestry of African American, Native American, and French roots, though he identifies as African American. Chester is an active member of our #DIAC and #ERGs, constantly seeking passionate people to join and eagerly inviting them to participate. I had the pleasure of interviewing Chester for our newsletter, and I am thrilled to share a few of his insightful responses with you all: Are there any traditions you and your family have that are important to you? "A tradition that my family and I have is every year since I was a kid, my family has always brought in the summer by going to Wildwood Crest. During this time, not only do we have fun on the beach and boardwalk, taking in the sun, but we also take the time to come together as a family and reflect on all of our accomplishments." When you think of African American Cuisine, what stands out? Do you have any favorites? "African American Cuisine has a rich and flavorful history, also known as Soul Food. The thing I love about our food is the power that it has to bring us all together as a family! My absolute favorite is Mac & Cheese. I could eat mac & cheese any time of the year! In fact, my family loves my recipe so much that I have now been dedicated to making mac & cheese even over my grandmother, who was born and raised in Alabama. I put my soul into it!" Is there anything you would like others to know to help with inclusion and belonging? "We need to recognize that life would be boring if we were all the same. Therefore, we need to celebrate, learn, and experience each other's differences while showing kindness. Because at the end of the day, we are all a part of the human race." Chester embodies the spirit of diversity and inclusion, and his dedication to fostering a sense of belonging within our community is truly inspiring. As we continue to celebrate #BlackHistoryMonth, let us embrace the rich cultures and traditions that make us unique and united.

In the wake of the recent fires in Los Angeles, we are incredibly proud of volunteers across ten sectors of Compass Group USA including team members and residents from communities that CCL supports, for coming together to make a difference. Special thanks to Rebecca Waits, CCL Director of Dining Services, and residents of Redwood Terrace for supporting at a local level by hosting their own supply drive. Through a joint effort, the volunteer efforts helped to collect, sort, and pack over 40,000 pounds of produce for fire victims across LA County. A huge thank you to all the amazing volunteers for your dedication and compassion to those impacted by the devastating LA fires. Every action, big or small, makes an impact!
