PUBLICATION: Here's a great paper published in Frontiers in Immunology authored by Eliza M. Gordon-Lipkin, et. al., at the NIH. In "Primary oxidative phosphorylation defects lead to perturbations in the human B cell repertoire," CDI Labs’ #VirScan® was used to profile the antiviral antibody repertoire in children with mitochondrial disease (MtD). Statistical analysis of the samples indicated a limited antibody polyclonality when compared to other children in the control group, even when being exposed to the same viral immunogens. The distinctiveness of depletion of B cell, plasma cells and monocytes repertoire, may play a factor in the humoral immunity and the ability to clear viral infections.   https://lnkd.in/g9qK92BC #virscan #antibodies #bcells #viralinfections #rnaseq #mitochondria

In a paper published in August 2023, Dr. Andrew McKeon* and his team at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine & Science investigated the potential of human protein arrays to overcome the time-consuming process of characterizing and validating novel antibodies.
