With a grant from MxD, the Center for Design and Manufacturing Excellence is working with Corsha to use blockchain technology to secure manufacturing systems: https://lnkd.in/g79j3Aqx As part of this effort, CDME undergraduate students work closely with Corsha engineers to integrate Corsha’s blockchain-based cybersecurity platform with the environmental test chamber (ESPEC). This machine tests products in a simulated environment in an enclosed space. The blockchain-based cybersecurity platform ensures critical data in manufacturing environments has the appropriate access protections. “Working with Corsha has been a fantastic experience for our students. We were able to embed our students into Corsha’s workflow and project team,” said Vimal Buck, director of industrial cybersecurity at CDME. “This meant that students worked alongside Corsha project managers and engineers in a fully agile project environment. This integration, where our students used Corsha’s workflow and tools, enabled them to work alongside Corsha engineers but from a remote location.”

Happy #M4Monday 💡 The M4 Division helped support a rare case of focal atrial tachycardia through creation of 3D-printed models of the patient anatomy resulting in successful ablation without complications. Two models were created – one depicting each chamber of the heart and a second model of the transected left atrium to show the opening of the diverticulum. Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/gvwknbvt
