In recognition of #NationalBreastCancerAwarenessMonth, the CEC Entertainment team took full advantage of the opportunity to remind everyone of the importance of knowing their risk of cancer, taking steps to prevent it and catch it early, and supporting awareness and treatment initiatives. Together, we can make a difference in the fight against breast cancer. For every fight won, for each battle lost, and for those still fighting, our collective support matters. Join us in supporting those impacted by this disease and promoting research to improve treatment and outcomes. Share your stories, encourage conversations, and let’s work together to create a future where breast cancer is no longer a threat. #fightagainstcancer

Today, October 10th, CEC Entertainment recognizes World Mental Health Day. World Mental Health Day was established on October 10th, 1992, by the World Federation for Mental Health. Since then, it has been observed every year with the aim of raising awareness in the global community about critical mental health agendas through collaboration with various partners to take action to create lasting change. Over the years, this day has gained momentum, becoming a platform for governments, organizations, and individuals to develop initiatives that focus on various acts of mental health care. The official 2024 theme for World Mental Health Day is “It is Time to Prioritize Mental Health in the Workplace.” At CEC Entertainment, we know Mental Health matters; take time for self-care & self-compassion. On World Mental Health Day and every day, remember to prioritize your well-being.

In light of October being Disability Awareness Month, the Diversity & Inclusion Council is reaffirming CEC Entertainment’s unwavering commitment to promoting an environment where Diversity and Inclusion are not just buzzwords but embedded in the fabric of our organization. We seek to shape a culture that truly represents and celebrates diversity in all its forms. As part of this effort, our Cast and Team Members, irrespective of their abilities, should be valued, supported, and given equal opportunities to thrive and contribute to our shared success. Of course, the meaning behind Disability Awareness Month extends beyond the calendar days of October. This time should be a catalyst for ongoing reflection, learning, and action, reinforcing our commitment to fostering a workplace where every individual knows that they can reach their full potential. Let’s all embrace the great diversity of abilities we have in our Company, learn from one another, and continue building a culture where everyone is not only included but truly belongs.

Rosh Hashanah begins at sunset tonight and runs through nightfall on October 4th. This day begins the ten days of penitence leading up to Yom Kippur, the holiest day in Judaism. In addition to being a day of atonement and repentance, Rosh Hashanah marks the beginning of the 10-day period known as the ‘Days of Awe’. Let’s take this opportunity to learn, celebrate, and honor the amazing contributions of the Jewish communities across CEC Entertainment, and make sure to wish them L’shana Tovah!

This past weekend was the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month, a time to honor the rich cultures, contributions, and innovations of the Hispanic community. This year’s theme, “Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together,” encourages us to celebrate the trailblazers within the Hispanic community who are shaping the future with vision and innovation. We are proud to share that approximately 40% of our employees, including a nearly equal portion of our leadership, identify as being of Hispanic origin. Their contributions are integral to our success, and we deeply value their impact on our organization. Let’s take this opportunity to learn, celebrate, and honor the incredible contributions of the Hispanic and Latino communities across CEC Entertainment.
