Today CEC Entertainment recognizes the significance of Juneteenth, a pivotal day in American history that marks the emancipation of the last enslaved African Americans in the United States. On this day in 1865, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, TX, to enforce the end of slavery, signifying true freedom for all. Juneteenth is not just a historical milestone but a celebration of resilience, culture, and the unending pursuit of equality and justice. It is a time for reflection on the struggles and contributions of African Americans throughout our nation’s history. In June, CEC Entertainment proudly acknowledges and commemorates Pride Month, a global celebration that champions the principles of acceptance, dignity, and self-empowerment.
