Congratulations to the CECOM SEC AI Avengers for placing in third out of 29 teams and 153 participants in the 2024 ATEC Data Summit! The team is made up of Frank Frisby, Roy Trieu, and Maluki Montgomery, and their project focused on ATEC’s testing of plate armor worn inside a Soldier vest, in which they built an AI model to detect and flag defects in the metal plate. By automating the detection using AI and removing the defected plate armor from inventory, it reduces test evaluation time and helps save lives. #InnovateToProtect Photo credit: Courtney White Gilbert
