On Wednesday, October 23, CECOM SEC held a quarterly Town Hall. CECOM SEC Director, Mr. Garrett Shoemaker, led the discussion with an organizational update, a recap of FY24 achievements, and upcoming center opportunities. With support from the CECOM G6 and G3/5, we discussed hard-hitting issues impacting the Center. Mr. Shoemaker also took time to recognize all the incredible achievements within the workforce. SEC is looking forward to new opportunities ahead!

Niraj brings over 20 years of distinguished civilian service in leadership positions at SEC, PEO C3N, and C5ISR. We can’t wait to see the great things he will bring to our center. CECOM SEC worked collaboratively with Project Manager Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PM PNT) and Collins Aerospace to perform code analysis on the Mounted Assured Positioning Navigation and Timing System (MAPS), a GPS navigation system operated by Soldiers. SEC ensures the cyber security posture and helps manage supply chain risks for applications so that Soldiers maintain situational #readiness and operational #efficiency.

Yesterday, CECOM SEC cyber expert, Ms. Farhat Shah, facilitated a Defense Acquisition University (DAU) web event on the topic of Zero Trust – a cybersecurity policy that establishes access controls around strict authentication measures. Ms. Shah presented the framework and alignment of the Army’s critical new cyber strategy to an audience of close to 900 colleagues and students. CECOM SEC’s #innovation leads a pathway for #education throughout the DoD community.

CECOM SEC’s Intelligence Electronic Warfare & Sensor Directorate (IEWSD) hosted a capabilities demonstration of the Automated Installation Entry (AIE) for CECOM Commanding General and APG Senior Commander Maj. Gen. James D. Turinetti IV on October 1. The system performs all entry vetting via an interface to the DoD and National law enforcement databases. The demo included a hands-on portion for the commander to get familiarized with the system. SEC provides superior #ForceProtection to Army installations nationwide.

CECOM SEC experts showcased the center's extensive capabilities in a series of tech demonstrations at the Open House last week. Attendees witnessed SEC innovations centered around AI, Agile, fielded weapon system solutions, and more. SEC expertise is shaping the battlefield of tomorrow.
