We are excited to be sponsoring and attending this exciting event and supporting the Charles County Military Alliance Council in the process. See you next week!
The Charles County Military Alliance Council, founded in 2015, builds connections between the Town of Indian Head, Southern Maryland, and the Naval Support Facility Indian Head. The MAC advocates for local defense activities, supports Navy missions, and highlights Charles County's critical role in national security. By fostering relationships with local leaders and defense stakeholders, this organization strengthens the regional economy and our military capabilities. We appreciate the MAC’s continued support of the 2024 Fall Meeting! #charlesfallmeeting

Today, we are celebrating Aaron Chase's exceptional 30 years of service! In 1994, Aaron joined us as a part-time teller and quickly made his mark by moving to our ATM Department. Through dedication and hard work, he earned a promotion into management and continued to rise through the ranks. In 2005, Aaron became our Security Specialist, and by 2021, he took on the role of Security & Cards Services Officer. Today, he oversees all aspects of credit union security, card services, ATM operations, and fraud protection. Thank you, Aaron, for your outstanding loyalty, vigilance, and commitment over the last 3 decades. Here's to the next decade of success, we are grateful to have you!

Last week Cedar Point staff had the pleasure of attending two events that highlighted some great things happening in our community! On Tuesday we met with Representative Jacob Day and his team from the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development, where community members participated in an open forum about Lexington Park's Sustainable Communities Designation. On Friday, our Federal Delegation from the United States Senate and House of Representatives presented $850,000 to the St. Mary's County Family YMCA project, which hopes to break ground in the fall of this year. Congratulations to everyone who has worked over the last decade to realize this wonderful community project. We were honored to have participated in both events and can't wait to see the great impact that both will have on the future of St. Mary's County.

Today, we are celebrating Colleen’s 30-year anniversary! Her journey began when she joined the credit union as a secretary and quickly advanced through roles as the Compliance Officer, Marketing Officer, and finally as the VP of Investment Services in 1998 when she helped to found Cedar Point Financial Services (CPFS), a CUSO of CPFCU. Her leadership has shaped CPFS into a beacon of integrity and client-centricity. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Colleen is known for her mentorship and impact on colleagues, inspiring a cohesive and outstanding workplace. Help us congratulate Colleen’s 30 years of being a vital figure in CPFS’s success and we look forward to continuing this journey together.
