Labor Day is a stark reminder of the challenges the justice-impacted community continues to face when participating in the labor market because of widespread employment discrimination. This has profound residual effects on the U.S. economy. We must collectively demand these barriers be removed so that everyone has a fair chance to participate in the workforce and create a better life for themselves, their families, and their communities. #MoreThanABackground

Last week, 6 incredible participants from #CEOAlbany celebrated their graduation as the first cohort of the BuildnBeyond Capital District Pre-Apprenticeship program! In just 7 weeks, they’ve gained hands-on skills in Solar Energy and Weatherization, thanks to our partnership with the LiUNA Eastern NY Laborers Training Fund. Congrats to our graduates, and thank you to ASM Angelo Santabarbara for attending and celebrating this achievement with us!
