This quote, from a former student of Democractic VP nominee Tim Walz during the delegate roll call last night at the #DNC, perfectly encapsulates the lessons of Center for Inspired Teaching's Speak Truth program. And it is something we believe all #teachers can, and should do, for their students. The young people in our classrooms today will be tomorrow's leaders; learning these skills now is critical to ensuring they lead with empathy, thoughtfulness, and authentic interest in the world around them.

🌠 Activity Spotlight: Prep to Music 🎵 Have you ever noticed how music can change the way you feel, or guide your thinking? Music can even make things we struggle with a little easier! Try creating a playlist of songs that help you get things done, listen to them while you plan, and see what happens. Pay attention to what songs help you focus and what songs make you jump from your seat and dance—you probably don't want the latter for lesson planning, but you’ll appreciate those songs when you need to get up and exercise.
