This past weekend, I had a blast representing Penn State SCMA in the University of Pittsburgh's Center for Supply Chain Management's 10th Annual Race to Case Competition. In this unique case competition, contestants ran across Pitt's campus, solving various supply chain challenges. Points were added or deducted from your final score depending on the order you arrived at the next location. This made for a very fun and exciting event. I especially enjoyed the emphasis on cross-functional teams, as I had the opportunity to work with two close friends and Penn State Engineering Students, Tyler Cymbala and Connor Morse. I am extremely grateful for this fantastic learning opportunity, and I cannot thank Eric Paljug and Janice M. Trygar enough for making this event possible.

Thank you to the Supply Chain Department, alumni, and student representatives for an incredible SCIS and MIS Exploration Week. We had the opportunity to engage with 351 University Park and Commonwealth Campus students during last night's panel, and another 59 students at today's table event in the Atrium. It's great to see students actively exploring majors in-person once again! We are definitely heading in the right direction. Special thanks to my UGE major exploration team, Dawn Maguire (she/her), Rebecca Winge and Florencia Gercar and another shoutout to the student panelists McKenna Schrenk and Sarah Langer, you both are superstars!
