Founded in 2011 as a department of Colorado State University, the Center for the New Energy Economy (CNEE) is an initiative led by Colorado’s 41st Governor, Bill Ritter, Jr. and assisted by a team of energy and environmental policy experts. The Center works directly with governors, legislators, regulators, utilities and stakeholders by providing technical and strategic assistance to help decision makers create policies that facilitate America’s transition to a clean energy economy.

We had an incredible time at the 2024 Clean Energy Legislative Academy. Thank you to our 32 attendees from 15 states. We are also beyond grateful to our amazing faculty for their extensive knowledge and advice. The Academy covered topics including #gridplanning, working with public utility commissions, and emerging #cleanenergy technologies. We highlighted topics such as #environmentaljustice, support for #LMI populations, and solutions to the #energypricecrisis.

CNEE congratulates Hannah Baer on her new position as Chief of Staff at Clayton Early Learning. We are sad to see her go and will miss her compassionate and fun-loving nature.
