Congratulations to the Centerboard Inc. team for receiving a 3-year grant from The Women's Fund of Essex County supporting their ongoing work with the Phoenix Rising program. This program helps empower, inform and educate girls and young women who are at risk of sexual exploitation. While the work requires slow, patient and repetitive help, the successes have delivered great rewards through family reunifications, youth employment, mentoring opportunities, and explorations in creativity through painting, cooking and other artistic activities.
