Members of CenterPoint Properties' Accounting Team recently volunteered at a golf outing to benefit Giant Steps Inc., which provides vocational, educational, and life skills training and support for adults with autism. The organization is planning a new activities center that will help it serve five times as many people as it does today. The outing raised nearly $160,000 for this effort! SVP & Controller Brian Sheehan, VP of Development Accounting & Analysis Ross Straseske, Tax Director Sharon Purcell, Accounting Director Michael Coy, Development Manager Monica Berg, Senior Property Accountant Gena Wilczak, Development Accounting Coordinator Amanda Korst, Staff Accountant Gladys Garcia-Padilla, and Tax Assistant Emily Grant were the stewards of on-course fundraising games such as the “Long Putt,” “Dice Roll,” and “Closest to the Pin” at Cress Creek Country Club in Naperville, IL. We’re pleased to announce Greg Stumm has joined CenterPoint as our Leasing Officer for the West Region. Greg will be responsible for most of CenterPoint’s leasing activities, working with brokers and CenterPoint customers in Southern California, Northern California, and Seattle under the direction of SVP of Asset Management Bob Andrews. CenterPoint’s West Region portfolio is comprised of more than 18 million square feet of space across 130 assets occupied by 157 tenants. “Greg’s experience in brokerage, investments, and leasing combined with his extensive broker relationships fits perfectly with CenterPoint’s strategy in expanding our market presence in the West Region,” said Andrews. Greg, a University of Southern California graduate, comes to us from Bridge Industrial, where he was the Director of West Coast Acquisitions based in LA. His background includes stops at Newmark’s industrial leasing team, CBRE’s investment team, and even KUSI News in San Diego as a sports reporter. CenterPoint Celebrates Juneteenth, Freedom Day! While this day commemorates the official end of slavery in the United States, it’s a vital reminder that we all share the responsibility to ensure one another has true freedom. The freedom that comes when each of us feels genuinely empowered to raise our voice and be heard. The freedom that comes when equality and equity are granted to all – and fearlessly protected by all. The lessons of the past must never be forgotten and must be used to build a brighter future that includes and inspires us all. We can accomplish anything together! #juneteenth #diversity #equity #equality #freedomday
