BGL is pleased to announce the completion of the brand conversion and financial restructuring of three new Wyndham hotels accounting for 397 keys, on behalf of the hotels’ owners, Ceres Enterprises, LLC and The Orlean Company. The hotels include the 113-key Wyndham Avon (OH), the 132-key Wyndham Noblesville (IN), and the 152-key Wyndham Westfield (IN). Ceres Enterprises also owns and operates The Orbit Hotel, a Trademark Collection by Wyndham, a 54-key hotel that is housed in a former NASA office building at the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport—bringing the portfolio to four Wyndham-branded hotels. The Ceres Team is thrilled to announce that two of our Wyndham Avon Housekeepers, Elba Torres and Jomaris Diaz, have won the Housekeeping Superstar Award. Elba and Jomaris' dedication to maintaining cleanliness throughout the hotel allows us to service our guests to the experience they deserve. Our housekeepers are the unsung heroes of this industry and we are truly grateful to have an amazing crew at Wyndham Avon!!!

Over the past 12 weeks, I had the opportunity to intern with Ceres Enterprises, LLC. I am deeply grateful to the entire Ceres team for their guidance which provided me with a comprehensive view of the hospitality industry from daily operations, pre-development, and construction management. I would like to thank the Crisafi family for allowing me to attend meetings with partners, city officials, and other governmental entities that allow these projects to be possible. A special thank you to Wyndham Hotels & Resorts for the invitation to attend the Wyndham Championship. Meeting Geoff Ballotti, President and CEO, and his outstanding team was a highlight of this experience and has left a lasting impression on my career trajectory. This internship has been profoundly insightful, and I cannot express my appreciation enough for all the expertise and knowledge shared by the Ceres family. I’d like to conclude with a quote that perfectly captures my experience from the beloved founder and patriarch at Ceres Enterprises, Mr. Frank R. Crisafi: “People make the Party.”

Our goal at Ceres is to make your stay with us as comfortable and pleasant as possible. We have recently delved into serving a simple yet tasteful menu at some of our properties for you to enjoy. The Ceres Team had the privilege of hosting Wyndham Hotels & Resorts President and CEO Geoff Ballotti and his amazing team!!! We were delighted to not only showcase our Ohio properties, The Wyndham Avon and The Orbit, but speak on our wonderful Wyndhams in Noblesville and Westfield Indiana. Furthermore, we discussed some development opportunities regarding the WaterWalk Extended Stay by Wyndham. A product recently acquired by Wyndham which has a great family history. Making the jump to Wyndham has been nothing short of fruitful and we are thrilled to continue our partnership into the future!!!

The Ceres Enterprises family has suffered an extraordinary loss. Our founder, mentor, culture champion, hero, defender, and the ultimate leader has passed away. Frank Crisafi Sr. earned his law degree from Cleveland State Law School. His first foray into the business world was when he opened a commercial real estate office in Cleveland, Ohio in 1958. The office, led by Frank and his passion for people and business, grew to 8 offices and 300 employees in just 7 years! In 1986, Frank, who was considered one of the founding fathers of the Residence Inn by Marriott brand, opened his first hotel: a Residence Inn by Marriott in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. His passion instantly grew for the industry.  Frank saw through the eyes of his guests what exceptional guest service looks like. As passionate as he was about the hotel industry and the relationships he developed with colleagues from premier brands such as Hilton, Marriott, and Wyndham; Frank was even more passionate about his people. This is what marked his success. He developed a culture that is positive, supportive, energetic, and a sincere family feel for everyone under his employ and it continues to stick! Everyone knew him, respected him, and wanted to make him proud. He always returned the same familiarity, respect, and ultimate love and appreciation to all, because as he always told everyone, “PEOPLE MAKE THE PARTY.” Frank lived by that as he was the ultimate creator and director of the party.  Frank was grateful for all of us, but not as grateful as we were for him. The incomparable Frank Crisafi will be so very missed.  Our heartfelt prayers go out to our President, David Crisafi and the entire Crisafi family.  May he rest in heavenly peace!

Fun Visit to The Orbit Hotel! Mary Jo Schmidt and I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Orbit Hotel and meeting with Frank Crisafi of Ceres Enterprises, LLC to discuss the future of #hospitalityapprenticeships. Located right across the street from the NASA Glenn Research Center, this luxury hotel has a unique history that adds to its charm. Originally built in 1964 for the space race program, the building that now houses The Orbit Hotel once belonged to NASA. After sitting empty for nearly 20 years, Ceres Enterprises transformed it into the stunning luxury hotel it is today. Our conversation revolved around the potential for hospitality apprenticeships to bridge the skills gap and provide invaluable on-the-job training for aspiring professionals. The Orbit Hotel's commitment to excellence and innovation makes it an ideal partner in shaping the next generation of hospitality leaders. Thank you, Frank, for the insightful discussion and tour of this incredible facility.
