In healthcare, network adequacy isn’t just about meeting requirements—it’s the key to unlocking better outcomes and patient satisfaction. When provider networks fall short, the result is costly delays, frustrated members, and compliance issues that no health plan wants to face. Meeting regulatory standards is just the beginning. A strong, well-maintained network means seamless operations, satisfied patients, and lower costs by keeping care in-network. So, how does Certify help? By cutting credentialing time from 30+ days to under 5, we enable health plans to quickly fill gaps, stay compliant, and keep things running smoothly. Want to read more? UnitedHealth Group's latest deep dive into maternal and infant health highlights persistent racial disparities in healthcare. Maternal mortality rates for American Indian/Alaska Native, Black, and Hawaiian/Pacific Islander women are 2.5 to 4.5 times higher than other groups—these numbers represent lives affected by inequities that demand action. A key takeaway: targeted solutions are crucial, and that’s where accurate provider data comes in. At Certify, we ensure healthcare networks have up-to-date, inclusive provider info. Our CVO services help map providers in underserved communities, closing care gaps and ensuring everyone gets the care they deserve. A recent proposal to simplify prior authorization (PA) through Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes highlights a common challenge in healthcare: critical information is often hidden in plain sight. Dr. Alex Shteynshlyuger’s proposal, aimed at compensating physicians for time spent on PA claims, was withdrawn after discovering that PA requirements were already included in the longer descriptions of certain CPT codes—descriptions that many providers rarely access. For those unfamiliar, CPT codes are the standard set of codes used to describe medical procedures for billing. While the short descriptions are widely used, it’s the detailed, often inaccessible information—like PA requirements—that can create confusion and inefficiency in the system. This situation underscores the importance of data transparency and accuracy. When critical provider data is hidden or not easily accessible, it disrupts workflows and impacts care delivery. At Certify, we believe in the power of accurate, real-time provider data to reduce these friction points. By ensuring that healthcare organizations have access to up-to-date and comprehensive provider data, we’re helping streamline processes like prior authorization and improve overall efficiency in the system.
