Restoring Lives Impacted By Trauma.

About us

The Children & Family Advocacy Center was established after the merge of the Children's Advocacy Center of Benton County and Restoration Village, two long-standing non-profits dedicated to restoring the lives of those impacted by trauma. In 2023 the two organizations merged to better serve their community as ONE TEAM. ONE MISSION. ONE VOICE. The Children & Family Advocacy Center's purpose is to empower those impacted by trauma by providing a safe place to receive comprehensive services through a coordinated team approach from dedicated trauma-informed professionals.

Updates

  • We’re incredibly proud of our expert staff who taught at ChildFirst Arkansas last week! Pictured here are participants learning from our own Nicole Burden, Acute Services Supervisor, as she leads one of our sessions on child development. This specialized training, provided through the Children’s Advocacy Centers of Arkansas, equips our state's professionals working crimes against children with the skills to explore child maltreatment allegations through a forensic interview. A huge thank you to the investigators who choose to protect the most vulnerable in our community every day.

  • See ya'll next year! Thank you to everyone who put on their boots, tipped their hats, and two-stepped to In It to End It last night. Thanks to the generous donations of sponsors and guests we surpassed our night of fundraising goal, providing funds crucial to impacting the lives of those we serve. To our volunteers, thank you for taking the time to make this event a success! We look forward to seeing you again around the center or at our next event (April 2025). As we close out our 2024 event season we are humbled by those who stand with us: thank you!

  • Introducing Xaya, the CFAC Director of Comfort! Xaya isn't just any dog - she's a specially trained facility dog here to offer comfort, calm, and companionship to the children and families we serve. She arrived at our Center last week and spent three days working directly with staff members to complete Ultimate Canine Training. As you can see everyone passed and was ready to smile for the camera! Whether it's easing nerves during tough conversations or simply offering a paw to hold, Xaya brings an extra layer of healing to our center. We are thankful for our supporters who helped see this through and are beyond excited to welcome Xaya to our team as she helps spread love and comfort to those who need it most! 🐾

  • These sponsors kicked up their boots and said YES to helping build resilient lives! YES to the teen sitting in our waiting room ready for his weekly counseling session. YES to the mother, and her three children, working on her degree to break the cycle of abuse. Thanks to our sponsors we are able to continue offering comprehensive services to those affected by trauma. Interested in attending? Tickets are still available for In It to End It on 10/3! https://lnkd.in/g4b7r2GJ

  • September marks one year since renovations began on our residential housing for clients. The update, taking a little over four months to complete, was made possible thanks to generosity from the community, hundreds of hours of labor, and a combined sense of service to those in need. Thank you Preston & Company for bringing together so many amazing companies to make this dream a reality! Last month many of those involved has the opportunity to tour the space and hear an impactful story about the difference these changes have made in the lives of our residents.
