For CFCLI (Cleveland Federal Community Leadership Institute) I was tasked with interviewing a founder of a Non-Profit 501C3 organization. This is how I was able to get to know Jason Lockett Sr. This part of the program was my favorite part because it was a pleasure hearing Jason’s story and how that led to him founding Breadwinners Academy. For those who don’t know Breadwinners Academy is all about developing youth financial literacy knowledge. I saw Jason’s passion during the interview. It was even more amazing to attend the Books 2 Bread program and hear the students’ passion in partaking in this. This is truly needed in our community and is leaving a lasting impact in the students. I asked most of the students what is one thing they enjoyed about this program. Some responses received were the people they met, pushed them to get out of their comfort zone, the trips they took, and the knowledge they received about credit, taxes and so forth. This program really left the students empowered. I love to see it! I just wanted to S/O Jason Lockett Sr (MBA) for all of the hardwork you are doing investing in the youth and this community. I wish you are able to continue to grow and touch many more lives. Thank you CFCLI Development Team for the things you exposed me to for being apart of the program.
