October 14-18, 2024 is Construction Inclusion Week! This annual, industry-wide awareness effort aims to create collective safe spaces for difficult conversations, provide educational insights, and to foster a more inclusive construction industry. As we discussed last month, the suicide rates in our industry remain statistically high. One way to combat the suffering of our peers is to make sure each person feels welcome to be their best and perform their best. Ostracizing others only separates us and leaves individuals suffering, as well as our community's health and achievements at large. About us
The Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) Chapter of Northeast Florida was founded in April of 1999 through the efforts and vision of twenty-one charter members. Based in Jacksonville, Florida, our chapter currently has more than 50 experienced financial professionals who either work in or serve the construction industry. Our chapter holds regular educational meetings which provide members with the opportunity to learn about relevant construction topics, share their construction knowledge with fellow members, and network with peers in their profession. The programs offer continuing education credit for CPAs and CCIFP’s. We also hold an annual social event, attend the Florida Regional Conference and enjoy jobsite tours in the community. Whether you are new to the industry or a lifelong member, CFMA offers the benefit of personal and professional growth and a diverse peer network unique to the construction financial management association.
