Our Greater Washington community is at its strongest when we come together as neighbors, helping those in need. On January 29, our region was devastated by the tragic loss of all 67 lives on American Airlines Flight 5342 and the Army Black Hawk Helicopter. We also remember the bravery of our first responders working tirelessly in the recovery efforts. In response to this heartbreak, the Capital Area Community Foundations (Greater Washington Community Foundation, Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties, Arlington Community Foundation, ACT for Alexandria, and Community Foundation for Northern Virginia) are joining to launch the DCA Together Relief Fund to support the families of the victims, first responders, and organizations aiding in recovery and healing. The fund aims to provide: Direct financial assistance for families (e.g., funeral costs, immediate needs) Support for first responders and recovery efforts Resources like mental health services, grief counseling, and community healing Together with the Wichita Foundation and our local partners, we are working to ensure those impacted receive the care and support they need. You can make a difference in this critical time. Your contribution will help bring hope and healing to the families and loved ones affected by this tragedy. ➡️ Donate today to the DCA Together Relief Fund and help us support our neighbors in need. https://lnkd.in/eNdanAci
