In January and February, our offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand, alongside our International business, held their first townhalls of the year. Group CEO Carol Fong and Deputy Group CEO Chan Yuen May, together with the respective Country and International CEOs, provided an in-depth review of both overall and country-specific performance for FY24, while outlining the strategic priorities for the year ahead. The townhalls' themes also centred around empowering staff to rise to new challenges, with leadership panel discussions deliberating how the organisation and management can support the development of our next gen leaders. GCEO Carol Fong's views on the measures announced by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) equities market review group, were carried in The Business Times today.   She highlighted that the measures exceeded expectations, particularly following the relatively modest preview of the tax incentives announced at Singapore's Budget 2025. Congratulations to International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM)’s Azre Nazerul for taking the top spot at the grand finale of the ASEAN Investment Challenge (AIC) 2024! His holistic investment strategy and impressive presentation stood out from amongst the competition from the top representatives from Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand. Over 5,000 students from 500 institutes of higher learning across Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand embarked on an eight-month journey into responsible investing, culminating in an exciting finale held today at Bursa Malaysia.
