We are thrilled to officially welcome Flavio Benatti to Chaos Labs as our DeFi Analyst! Flavio studied at Politecnico di Milano, where he earned a degree in Computer Science. Since then, Flavio has immersed himself in the worlds of crypto, DeFi and data analysis, having served as a tokenomics advisor for leading DeFi initiatives, conducted lending research at Aqxa Hedge Fund, and led numerous DeFi projects for top industry players. We could not be more enthusiastic about Flavio's passion for DeFi. Flavio's outstanding on-chain reputation precedes him, and we cannot wait to celebrate his future accomplishments with us. Chaos Labs had the incredible opportunity to participate in two industry flagship events this month: TOKEN2049 and Solana Foundation Breakpoint in Singapore, where we engaged with the brightest minds shaping the future of Web3. During these events, we proudly launched #Edge, our next-generation oracle designed to redefine real-time data accuracy and resilience for decentralized systems. Edge represents a leap forward in securing and scaling DeFi by providing more reliable, secure, and scalable data feeds that will power the next generation of onchain finance. We also announced key partnerships that underscore the power of Edge: • Jupiter: Leveraging the Edge Price Oracle to optimize trading efficiency on their perpetuals exchange. • Wintermute: Utilizing Edge Proofs to access high-quality U.S. Presidential election data to settle their prediction market, bringing more transparency and precision to the space. • PayPal Ventures: Strengthening their conviction in Chaos Labs by making an additional investment, a significant step in expanding the reach and impact of digital currencies. Edge has now secured more than $40B in volume over the last 3 months, immediately becoming a category leader for data infrastructure. Our team also connected with the community including partners from AAVE, RWA.xyz, Agora, Samsung Ventures, and ether.fi at Stable Summit, Perps Nite, and our Inaugural Community Dinner, discussing everything from DeFi scalability to the future of digital payments. We are thrilled to welcome Jacob K. to Chaos Labs as our first Business Operations Associate! Jacob began his career on the Capital Markets team at Moelis & Company where he worked on financing transactions across the public and private markets. His experience fueled his interest in financial innovation, capital accessibility and the gaps in the traditional capital markets that decentralized finance aims to solve. Prior, while an undergraduate student at the University of Pennsylvania, Jacob worked in Venture Capital at Triventures, where his enthusiasm for the Israeli tech ecosystem was born - we could not be more excited for him to officially return! We are thrilled to welcome Alice Kohn to our team at Chaos Labs as a DeFi Analyst! Alice comes with a strong background in economics, having started her career as a tech journalist before transitioning into the world of data analytics. Her interest in complex data analysis led her to a previous role as a research analyst at Glassnode, where she focused on Ethereum economics research, publishing comprehensive studies on liquid staking, restaking, issuance, and DEX market making. We know Alice's analytical prowess and data science expertise will contribute meaningfully to Chaos’s mission of pushing the boundaries in DeFi and risk management. Chaos Labs Secures $55M in Series A Funding We’re pleased to share that Chaos Labs has successfully closed a $55 million Series A funding round led by Haun Ventures. This investment marks a significant milestone in our journey to scale onchain economic security across Decentralized Finance (DeFi). We are honored to welcome new investors, including F-Prime Capital, Slow Ventures, and The Spartan Group, alongside our existing partners Lightspeed, Galaxy, Wintermute, PayPal Ventures, General Catalyst, Bessemer Venture Partners, and Coinbase. We also extend our thanks to our strategic angel investors, including Kevin Weil (OpenAI CPO), Michael Shaulov (Fireblocks CEO), Anatoly Yakovenko (Solana CEO), Francesco Agosti (Phantom CTO), and Anton Katz (Talos CEO).
