Congratulations to Chapman Spingola’s Jim Kestler and Robert Chapman on their recent victory in which they obtained a directed verdict on behalf of the firm’s client in a trial in the Circuit Court of Cook County before the Hon. Daniel Kubasiak. In response to the plaintiffs’ claims of breach of contract and violation of a non-disclosure agreement involving the manufacturer and distribution of a novelty cosmetic product, Jim and Bob, at the close of plaintiffs’ case, persuaded the court that the alleged agreement was missing essential terms to be enforceable and that the firm’s client used publicly available information in creating its own cosmetic product.
