#CRAIntellectualProperty's Chris Bakewell served as an economic damages and licensing expert on behalf of Cloudflare in a Texas district court case. Bakewell played a key role in the successful outcome, demonstrating that the plaintiff’s "licensing program" lacked legitimacy and that its outdated patents were irrelevant to Cloudflare’s modern infrastructure. The jury ruled in favor of Cloudflare, finding no infringement and invalidating the plaintiff’s patents. In a notable outcome, the plaintiff not only paid Cloudflare but also donated its entire patent portfolio to the public. To learn more, click here: https://crai.news/5qd

Indigenous Peoples' Day reminds us of the deep, lasting impact Indigenous cultures have had on shaping our world, long before the U.S. first officially recognized this day three years ago. For thousands of years, Indigenous knowledge, wisdom, and traditions have contributed to every corner of life, from stewardship of the environment to diverse cultural expressions. At CRA, we recognize the diverse traditions and knowledge of Indigenous communities and their contributions to society.
