It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Ross, former president of Charles Ross & Son Company, on September 14, 2024. Rich was a visionary leader who played an instrumental role in shaping the company’s future and global success. Taking the helm as president in 1961, Rich’s leadership, foresight, and dedication drove Charles Ross & Son Company, also known as ROSS Mixers, to new heights establishing manufacturing facilities in New York, Georgia and Florida. His commitment to innovation and excellence expanded the company’s footprint far beyond it’s U.S. roots, leading to the establishment of major operations worldwide, including China and India. In 1999, Rich established the company’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), a visionary decision that not only empowered employees as stakeholders but laid the foundation for the company's continued growth and success as a leader in industrial mixing technology. Outside of his professional achievements, Rich had a passion for animals, travel and a deep love of the water. An avid sport fisherman, he owned many of the finest sport fishing yachts ever built, and spent much of his leisure time fishing and enjoying life on the sea. Rich will be deeply missed by his loving family, colleagues, and the countless people whose lives he touched through his work and example. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, located at 623 SE Ocean Blvd., Stuart, Florida 39994. We are looking to add a Regional Sales Manager to our team for California and Nevada. This position will be responsible for: ·        Traveling to and meeting with clients within the territory. ·        Understanding and conveying process needs to the inside sales team. ·        Following up on leads and quotations for existing projects. ·        Identifying new sales opportunities and developing client relationships. Education/ experience: ·        Bachelor’s degree in a natural science, or comparable work experience, with technical understanding of industrial process equipment. ·        Minimum 2 years’ experience in industrial sales. ·        Experience using email, PC for office documents and databases for documenting sales activities. ·        Candidate must be personable, friendly, a team player, mechanically inclined, reliable, trustworthy and willing to learn. A company vehicle, computer, phone and office expenses will also be provided. Salary, plus commission and a competitive and comprehensive benefits package including 401K with match. Candidate must be personable and professional with great communication/ presentation skills. The position requires significant travel within the territory. A home office within the territory is required, one central to the territory would be ideal.
