The goals and objectives of CASHRM continue to include networking, promotion of SHRM, sponsoring current issues seminars, supporting the student chapters of SHRM, promoting the human resources profession, and maintaining the high ethical standards of the profession. CASHRM continues to make the communities we live in and the organizations we serve better places as a result of our combined efforts in the practice and promotion of the human resources professional.

Our hearts are heavy thinking about the devastation that has hit Western North Carolina. It's hard to believe that just last week, we were in Cherokee for the 2024 NCSHRM State Conference, enjoying the beautiful scenery and vibrant community. Now, seeing the aftermath of the floods and landslides, we are reminded of the fragility of our surroundings and the importance of coming together during times of crisis. Being in Cherokee, we witnessed firsthand the love and support that the people of Western North Carolina have for each other. It's a reminder that in times of tragedy, we must lean on each other for strength and support. We are grateful to have been a part of such a warm and caring community after many could not leave Cherokee or were stuck in a different location, and my heart goes out to all those who have been affected by this natural disaster. Let us all come together and show our support for Western North Carolina. Whether it's through donations, volunteering, or simply spreading awareness. #WNCstrong #CherokeeNC
