What if CATS could offer something unprecedented to show the region how much we care? What began as an idea to thank existing riders quickly evolved into a week-long initiative to invite members of different communities and walks of life to ride CATS called Customer Appreciation and Try Transit Week! For the first time in CATS’ history, we provided 🎉fare-free rides system-wide🎉 for a week. Leaders throughout the organization collaborated to create engaging events and exciting giveaways to highlight and honor the communities we serve. CATS riders with an eligible, same-day transit pass can park at the MAA LoSo Garage near Scaleybark Station without additional transportation costs. CATS' rail suspension begins tonight at 2 a.m., and we're here to make sure you know how to navigate the modified system confidently! 💭 Will there be any service along the Blue Line or Gold Line? Buses will provide transportation along the rail routes. 💭 How does the bus bridge work? Until rail services resume, riders can use the buses to reach any destination the rail would take them. 💭 Where can I catch my bus? Rail shutdowns are a common practice across the transit industry and essential for maintaining the quality of our rail alignments. During this suspension, teams can complete extensive maintenance and upgrades that are challenging or impossible to perform during regular operations. Microtransit is a convenient, on-demand transit option that uses smaller vehicles to provide point-to-point trips within designated zones. This service is set to replace Village Rider routes 97, 98, 99 and route 290.
