    Chartwell partner Allan Scholler examines the recent Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruling in Dwyer v. Ameriprise Financial, which marks a significant shift in construction defect litigation. This landmark decision allows plaintiffs to recover both treble damages under the Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law (UTPCPL) and punitive damages under common law claims in the same case, substantially increasing the financial risks for defendants.
