MALMÖ SWEDEN 📍 How do you turn a breathtaking stage concept into thrills for 163 million LIVE viewers worldwide…? 🌐 👉 Meet Ola Melzig, Sr Technical Director for Eurovision Song Contest 2024, the man responsible for creating “as big of a toolbox as possible for my creative team.” 🔥 This year a whopping 524 CHAUVET Professional COLORado PXL Bar 16’s were everywhere in Sweden’s Malmö Arena! “We used them to outline the arena in three different levels and also (to) outline the whole set, so both on the ground and in the ceiling… and since the set design was all straight lines this was a perfect picture to accentuate that… Fredrik Stormby the lighting designer was looking for a pixel batten. We looked around a LOT. The reason why we ended up with CHAUVET Professional COLORado PXL Bar 16 was the ratio between size, weight, power consumption and output… We had an ambition that all pictures should be either LED or laser driven, so the PXL bar just fits the bill.
