It was an honor to attend and be recognized among the top projects in the region.   The Diamond Excellence Awards are given to projects that received a perfect score during the judging process. This prestigious award was presented to 40TEN, Baltimore’s first mass timber office building. This 105,000 SF space, designed by Moseley Architects, showcases innovative construction featuring exposed timber, wood ceilings, and expansive glass lines, setting a new standard for sustainable office buildings.    Greenberg Gibbons Headquarters earned the Platinum Award for its exceptional interior fit-out within 40TEN. Project Update | Park Overlook in Cary, North Carolina   This industrial project spans 18.8 acres and, once complete, will feature two impressive tilt-up buildings totaling 162,000 SF.   Our valued trade partners & project team are making steady progress. Foundations are already in place for Building 2, and both building pads are on track to wrap up in the coming weeks. Around the site, storm drains are in progress, and the first retaining wall is underway. CCG Residential Construction is approaching the final stretch for Eagle Park Vistas and Villages!   Designed by Moseley Architects, this multi-family development in Hanover, MD will consist of 120 units across three buildings upon completion. The Villages will feature two 3-story, wood-framed buildings with 48 units, while the Vistas will offer a 4-story, 74,900-square-feet age restricted facility with 72 single-family apartments.   Currently, the Community Building and Villages are in the final stages of inspection, with landscaping now complete. The last round of paving is scheduled for next week. The project also involved demolishing the previous 31,000 SF dealership and completing extensive site work. Meet Steven Kuligowski - Director of Pre-Construction and this month's Hard Hat Hang Up.   Steve discovered his passion for construction while studying civil engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park, where he secured an internship with a large general contractor performing work on campus. After managing projects in the field, he transitioned to focusing on bids, estimates, and budgets.   When asked about the skills needed for success in estimating, Steve points to three key traits: “Effective communication, attention to detail, and creativity.”   Since joining Chesapeake, Steve has been impressed by the strong sense of teamwork. “Chesapeake fosters a great atmosphere where collaboration is key to success. Every colleague I’ve met is willing to step in and help ensure the best outcome.”   Outside of work, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, whether they’re exploring a playground or visiting a zoo. CCG Residential Construction's project Waldorf Station Apartments is making substantial strides.   Once finished, this Class-A residential development in Waldorf, MD will feature 302 apartments across eight buildings, complemented by top-of-the-line amenities including a resort-style pool, expansive clubhouse, co-working and social engagement lounge, fitness facilities, vehicle charging stations, and a dog park and pet spa.   Currently, the roof is being installed on Building 1, alongside ongoing plumbing, electrical, and HVAC rough-ins. Building 2 is undergoing framing, while footings are being developed for Building 3.
