On Monday, January 20th, the Federal Government and Chevo are closed in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. This holiday, observed on the third Monday in January, honors the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a renowned civil rights leader and Baptist minister from Georgia. On this day celebrating his contributions to equality and justice and marked as a national day of service, we reflect on the power of community and honoring his legacy.

Every fall, Chevo Consulting, LLC holds an All Hands meeting where we celebrate the year’s successes and recognize those employees who’ve done tremendous work for us—whether excelling past expectations with a client or jumping in to help teammates on their own projects or becoming that expert every office knows can be trusted to help—by honoring them through our Annual Awards to Celebrate Chevo Excellence (AACCE) program.” The final award is the Stacey Godlove Pillar Award. A word about it: In 2013 we lost a very dear colleague, Stacey Godlove, to leukemia. She was a friend to many but also a great consultant and strong leader at Chevo; she embodied Chevo's culture and was greatly respected in our company and our industry. This award was originally the Pillar Award; it recognizes the employee who embodies the Pillars of our corporate culture, exemplifying exceptional professionalism and outstanding work ethic. It is our highest award and, in the wake of Stacey's passing, we renamed it to also honor her legacy at Chevo. Congratulations to Monica Cunanan for winning this year's Stacey Godlove Pillar Award!
