CHI Saint Joseph Health recently partnered with Habitat for Humanity and the Catholic Parishes of Lexington to sponsor a new townhome build. Teams from CHI Saint Joseph Health volunteered at the home build, which was purchased by Porsha, a caregiver with Saint Joseph East, by assisting with building and other elements of the project. A blessing of the home was led by Bishop John. We're thrilled to support and sponsor community projects like this which ultimately make a difference in our community! #Hellohumankindness

Caregivers across our ministry dressed in pink this week for Pink Out Day to raise awareness and promote early detection and prevention of breast cancer. Thanks to everyone who went all out in their different hues of pink to show support in solidarity with breast cancer survivors, remembering those we lost and those who are currently in the fight to defeat the disease.

The Lloyd H. Dean Institute for Humankindness and Health Justice at CommonSpirit Health awarded Berea Home Village in its inaugural Humankindness and Health Justice Awards. Berea Home Village was selected from a pool of nominees from across the country for its team’s kindness, empathy and leadership in driving health justice. “Berea Home Village truly exemplifies what it means to make a profound impact on our community through a commitment to humankindness and health justice,” said John Yanes, president, Saint Joseph Berea. “Since its founding in 2017, Berea Home Village has created a thriving, intergenerational community where aging adults receive the love, respect and support they deserve. By providing essential services that enable seniors to remain in their homes and fostering deep social connections, Berea Home Village addresses critical health inequities faced by older adults, particularly those who are economically disadvantaged and from minority populations. Their innovative approach to supporting and connecting seniors exemplifies the very essence of health justice, and we are proud to honor their remarkable contributions with this award.” To learn more, check out this Richmond Register story. https://lnkd.in/gs47Sf78 #CommonSpiritHealth #HumankindnessAndHealthJusticeAwards
