  • We can't stop thinking about Saturday's GORGEOUS fall weather 🍂 — so we thought we'd share some of our favorite snapshots from this past weekend's market at GCM Lincoln Park. One of our most frequently asked questions as we near the tail-end of our extended outdoor season is: "When is our final market?" The answer: Saturday, November 23 will be our FINAL outdoor market at both locations - GCM Lincoln Park and GCM West Loop! Be sure to mark your calendars and SAVE THE DATE for the opening day of our indoor market at Avondale (3031 N Rockwell) on Saturday, December 7. Finally, visit the calendar on our website for the most up-to-date listings of our vendors per market date so you can plan accordingly when it comes to grabbing your weekly staples. See you all at the market! https://lnkd.in/ehs7DbQt

#ICYMI: Have you checked out the latest edition of Edible Chicago?? As we continue to celebrate our 25th anniversary, Green City Market is proud to be featured alongside spotlights of our vendors — the cornerstone of our local food system right here in Chicago. You'll also find some seasonal recipes from Chicago's top chefs and frequent GCM shoppers (still trying to figure out what to do with those two lbs of beets — there's a recipe for that!) as well as a touching tribute to GCM and its nonprofit mission, written by Edible Chicago's Publisher and Editor-in-Chief Megan Marshall. "Over the past 25 years, GCM has grown from its modest beginnings into a vibrant hub of activity, drawing customers from across the city and beyond. It’s a place where chefs, farmers, families, and food enthusiasts come together to celebrate the bounty of the Midwest. But GCM is more than just a market — it’s a nonprofit organization that supports sustainable agriculture, expands food access, and fosters a resilient, more equitable food system." If you haven't picked up your FREE copy yet — have no fear! Visit Edible Chicago's website to find your nearby pickup spot: www.ediblechicago.com📍

🍂 Fall is here, and so is the latest issue of Edible Chicago! 🍂 As we near the end of the 25th anniversary season of Chicago's Green City Market, this issue is particularly special. Get inspired by how Abby Mendel’s vision for a sustainable, European-inspired market became the heart of local food in Chicago. We highlight a handful of the vendors that keep the market buzzing, pun extremely intended thanks to Kikwetu Coffee Company, amongst others. Don't miss delicious recipes fit for fall's produce bounty from Daisies, Chef Lee Wolen of BOKA Restaurant Group, and more. Tremendous thanks, as always, to the businesses that support this publication. To our fall issue partners: Oishii, Visit Sheboygan, Inc., Dablon Vineyards & Winery, Kvarøy , Brian Severson Farms Inc, Gayle Voss, Illinois Farm Bureau, and Niman Ranch, we couldn't do it without you 🍻 Find your copy or secure a subscription at www.ediblechicago.com 🍄
