Chicago Dancemakers Forum’s Anti-Racism Team (A.R.T) has been meeting monthly since 2021. This group has been a guiding and grounding pulse for the organization and for me personally as executive director. We are now looking to bring in new members. Please join us for an open public session next Tuesday, July 16 from 12-1:30 on Zoom to find out more. "Chicago Dancemakers Forum is looking for new members for its Anti-Racism Team beginning September 2024." 3. "The A.R.T. is a malleable entity external to the operational structure of CDF. The group functions in a nonhierarchical, generative setting that supports collaborative flow, intersectionality, listening, and patience for process." 4. "We are grounded in mutual trust. This protected time from CDF’s steady operational production provides a necessary pause that allows for contemplation and exploration from the basis of a settled nervous system." 5. "Together, we convene monthly to discuss CDF through the lens of anti-racism work. We identify areas for growth and development while holding space for discussion, reflection, sharing, and change. All A.R.T. members are paid for their time." 6. "Interested? Join us for a lunch hour Zoom meeting tJuly 16, 2024, 12:00pm - 1:30pm. We will be discussing a short article and getting to know each other."
