I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as a Transportation Engineering Consulting Intern at Cempel International Transportation Consulting! I am looking forward to working with Erik Cempel, PE, PMP, over the next several months while continuing towards my degree in Civil Engineering at Illinois Tech. Thank you to Debbie Birrell from the Chicago Engineers' Foundation for putting me in contact with Erik and all the support you have given me over the last few months. I would also like to thank Mohammad Miralinaghi for teaching about Systems Engineering through his CAE 312 Engineering Systems Analysis course.

I am excited to announce that I have accepted a position as a Manufacturing Leadership Trainee in Ferrara Candy Company's Manufacturing Leadership Program. Ferrara has industry-leading innovation and has been in the candy manufacturing business for over 115 years! I am truly excited to gain this experience and will be joining the company after I graduate! I have always been drawn to leadership, as seen from my past college experiences as MAES - Vice President and President, National Association of Colored Women's Club, Inc.  - Treasurer and President, and National Society of Black Engineers - Conference Planning Chair and Treasurer. I have also always had a passion for manufacturing and engineering, as seen from my past college experiences as an Amazon Area Manager Intern, a Conagra Brands Project Engineering Intern, a Student Staff Administrator/Tutor/ENGR 180 TA/MEP: Next Gen Podcast Founder for the Purdue Minority Engineering Program, a Chicago State University Pre-Freshman Engineering and Science Academy Instructor, and a Purdue University Edwardson School of Industrial Engineering IE 200 Mentor. Being a part of this highly selective program, I will participate in a series of rotational assignments across Ferrara’s manufacturing operations, including Production, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance, Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, Inventory Supply, and more! As a member of the three-year Manufacturing Leadership Program, I will also gain unparalleled experiences in the entire manufacturing process and have tremendous opportunities for growth and development. I am truly blessed for this opportunity and I can not wait to give Ferrara manufacturing my all!
