#TeamCTA celebrates Native American Heritage Month! Did you know that the name "Chicago" actually comes from the Potawatomi word “Checagou,” which is derived from “Zhegagoynak?” In Potawatomi, "zhegagosh" means "wild onion," and "nak" translates to "the place of". This shows that Chicago's roots are deeply tied to the Indigenous peoples who thrived in the region long before non-Native settlers arrived! Stay tuned to our LinkedIn throughout the month of November for more fun facts, resources, and ways to celebrate Native American Heritage Month! #ChicagoTransitAuthority #WeMoveChicago #IAmTransitTalent #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth #Transit #HR
