We recognize Assistant Director René A. Dunn during #BlackHistoryMonth at CPD. Dunn serves as the Assistant Director in the Office of Constitutional Policing and Reform after previously spending six years as the Assistant Director of Recruitment and Retention. Dunn was also a Staff Sergeant in the Illinois Army National Guard and served for 11 years. She received multiple military medals and awards while serving in the 133rd Signal Battalion, including a life-saving award.

Today we celebrate #BlackHistoryMonth by recognizing Superintendent Larry Snelling. The former Chief of Counterterrorism was appointed by Mayor Brandon Johnson to serve as the 64th Superintendent, following a nationwide search by the Community Commission for Public Safety and Accountability.
