Reflecting on his journey from college basketball player to Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operator, Najee Davis finds it all incredibly humbling. Shortly after graduating from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, his path crossed with Randy Earnest, local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Cullman. Randy admired Najee’s attitude, drive, and bold spirit, though it took some time to convince him to join his team. Once Najee learned more about Chick-fil-A, he felt drawn to the Leadership Development Program (LDP), which can serve as a talent pipeline for future local Owner-Operators. With the unwavering support of his community and mentors like Randy, Najee feels blessed by the opportunities he’s been given to grow and serve others. Now, he’s committed to paying it forward by investing in others – especially those who are just beginning their journey. https://lnkd.in/gKj_AbkX

A heartfelt thank you to the local Owner-Operators and their Team Members for coming together to care for Southwest Florida following back-to-back hurricanes Helene and Milton. Even those who lost so much themselves came out to help. We are better together. ❤️

Demonstrating care in the communities we serve is a big part of our culture and at the heart of everything we do at Chick-fil-A.     When hurricanes Helene and Milton struck, all of us at Chick-fil-A – from our local Restaurant Owner-Operators to our Restaurant Team Members to leadership and Staff at the Chick-fil-A, Inc. Support Center – immediately wanted to help our neighbors in places that were hard hit.     The impact of these storms has been heartbreaking to see in communities where we’ve been serving for decades. I had the opportunity to serve alongside volunteers at the Chick-fil-A restaurant in St. Petersburg, Florida, a place that’s special to me because it’s where I was a Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operator in the early 2000s.    Chick-fil-A demonstrates care after natural disasters in many ways, and one way we uniquely showed care after hurricanes Helene and Milton was by providing hot meals to first responders and families impacted by the storms.   Over the past two weeks, our Chick-fil-A mobile kitchens, as well as local Owner-Operator food trucks, have made and donated more than 50,000 meals in impacted communities across North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida.    The care we’ve shown in communities impacted by hurricanes Helene and Milton is only possible thanks to the generosity and volunteer spirit of our local Owner-Operators, our Restaurant Team Members, and our Support Center Staff.   I’m heartened by members of our Chick-fil-A family who volunteered to help. I can’t thank you enough for your care and kindness. Seeing the looks on the faces of those we had the opportunity to give a hot meal to and saying “my pleasure” as we did, showed so many how much Chick-fil-A cares about the communities we serve.

For years, Brian and Angie Perry enjoyed going to Chick-fil-A for breakfast with their two sons – it was a bit of a family tradition. But in July 2020, their lives changed forever when their 12-year-old son, Ethan, was diagnosed with cancer. Chick-fil-A at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston quickly became a safe haven, providing a familiar comfort amidst the chaos.   In March 2021 after a hard-fought eight-month battle with cancer, Ethan Perry sadly passed away. While grieving his son’s passing, Brian found comfort and keeps his son's memory alive by ordering two breakfast biscuits and sitting at table 13, which faces east and allows him to enjoy the sunrise. When the team at Chick-fil-A Sienna Crossing in Missouri City, Texas found out about Brian’s weekly ritual, they began to reserve table 13.    Finding strength in this simple act, Brian says the Saturday morning tradition connects him to cherished memories and the warmth of shared moments. ❤️ https://bit.ly/4e6b0pk

This week, a Chick-fil-A Mobile Kitchen is just outside of Asheville, N.C., serving thousands of chicken sandwiches.   “I have friends in this community that need hope, that need someone to shine a light in this dark time right now – and we get to do that serving Chick-fil-A sandwiches through the mobile kitchen truck,” said Chick-fil-A Forest City Owner-Operator Sam Seigler, whose restaurant is located almost an hour from where the mobile kitchen is serving.   We are grateful to Chick-fil-A Owner-Operators and their Team Members who are supporting communities across Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas and Tennessee following Hurricane Helene. https://lnkd.in/ghFBdZBv

Meet Katy, Danny, Maria and Jovanni – Team Members at Chick-fil-A Waynesville in western North Carolina, impacted by Hurricane Helene.   When they got off their shifts, they walked to a local restaurant nearby. Noticing the staff needed some help, they quickly jumped in and started cleaning floors, bussing tables and helping with dishes. Once they helped the staff catch up, they rejoined the line to be seated.   “When I heard what my Team Members had done, I was very proud, but not surprised,” said Chick-fil-A Waynesville Owner-Operator Robert Conard. “Our staff is the absolute best and are all like family to us. We teach them from the first day that they come to work for us to go the second mile for all of our guests. Those that have a servant’s heart thrive in that environment. The culture just naturally spills over to every part of their life. I am so happy that they are being recognized for their actions, but I know, without a doubt, that they wouldn’t have done anything any different even if no one was watching!”   Thank you for the way you showed care, Katy, Danny, Maria and Jovanni! ❤️
