Andrew Z. had to change careers after his family moved. With six years of experience as a bagger and cart collector at a local grocery store, he turned to the American Job Center in Wheeling for help. In fall of 2023, he enrolled in a Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act-funded program and became a machine operator trainee at Keats Manufacturing Co. Thanks to an On-the-Job Training grant, he could "earn and learn." Today, Andrew is thriving in his new career, receiving consistent praise for his positive attitude and work ethic.
