Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! We celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 - October 15, because many Central American countries celebrate their independence days within these dates, including Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras, Chile, Belize and Nicaragua. What began as a week-long celebration in 1968 has expanded to a full month of acknowledging the incredible and diverse contributions of Hispanic and Latino ancestry to the tapestry of American culture.

For this week's Faces of C+FS series, we are highlighting Jennifer Svensson, who was recently promoted to Erie County Family Court Custody/Visitation Program Coordinator! Jennifer's career with C+FS started when she completed her school counseling internship at the Stanley G. Falk School's Rossler Campus in 2009. However, life had a different plan for Jennifer after the internship ended and her focus shifted to starting a family. When she reentered the workforce, C+FS welcomed her back and Jennifer joined the Stanley G. Falk School. In 2022, Jennifer transitioned to The Center of Resolution and Justice as a Program Associate and has been working in the program ever since. "I continue to work at C+FS because of the incredible people I've worked with throughout my journey here," said Jennifer. "Each of us are committed to providing high quality service with empathy. I am thankful for C+FS because of the professional growth and training opportunities offered. It's rare to work for a company who is dedicated to their staff in and out of the workplace environment." Congratulations on your promotion, Jennifer, and thank you for your hard work and dedication to the Agency!
