As more schools begin to embrace AI, there is an increasing need to reduce the potential risks that come with the use of AI in education. While current research focuses primarily on preparing students for AI in the workforce, it fails to call attention to the important ethical concerns of AI within education. Claire Kelley, Samantha Holquist, and Lorena Aceves, PhD's new Child Trends blog presents their education-focused AI risk framework to help address this gap. https://lnkd.in/eNaS-j6T

In a new OPRE report, Child Trends researchers Christina Padilla and Ying-Chun Lin explore variations in child care and employment disruptions among households with children under age 5 during the COVID-19 pandemic by race/ethnicity, household income, number of adults in the household, employment status, and telework status. These findings add to the field’s understanding of how certain populations are disproportionately impacted by child care and employment disruptions. https://lnkd.in/er4RSe84
