Did you know that the CACCC has internship opportunities? The Family Advocacy, Child Engagement, and Criminal Justice Internships are geared toward students who want to work in the child welfare or criminal justice system. They provide opportunities to work directly with children and families, and professionals who investigate and manage cases of alleged abuse and neglect. Check out our website to learn more information about this amazing opportunity! We are now accepting applications for the 2025 spring semester!

This week we showed our appreciation for “Mr. Pete”, our loyal volunteer, who has dedicated over 10 years of service to Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County. Peter Perry has volunteered directly with children receiving services at CACCC and spent years providing administrative assistance to CACCC staff and MDT partners. Peter, who commonly goes by, “Mr. Pete”, helped to train new volunteers and incorporate those volunteers into his “Team Tuesday” group, which provided critical help to our DFPS workers. His commitment to the projects he was assigned, positive attitude, and passion for making a difference earned him our Child Advocate Volunteer of the Year award in 2019. Mr. Pete retired from his volunteer work this week and we are incredibly grateful for his years of dedication to our mission. Thank you for making a difference in our lives and the lives of so many children in Collin County, Mr. Pete!
