Last fall, the Children’s Trust and MA Department of Mental Health launched a transformative training initiative for infant and early childhood providers across Massachusetts. This partnership equips professionals with essential tools to better serve the families they work with, leading to stronger, more resilient communities. Through 12-hour FAN Training sessions, participants learn empathetic strategies to support families effectively. Supervisors also receive ongoing mentoring, ensuring these skills are integrated into their daily practice. With expanded funding for more training groups in 2025, we're committed to making a lasting impact on the lives of families with young children! Access to basic needs plays a crucial role in reducing family stress, helping create a safer and healthier environment for children. During fiscal year 2024, Family Centers across Massachusetts provided nearly 2,500 instances of concrete supports, adding up to more than $130,000. These supports ranged from baby supplies and food assistance to emergency housing and transportation and have made a significant impact on families.
