Marfan Syndrome is a genetic condition that affects the connective tissue in the body. Those living with Marfan Syndrome may experience challenges related to their heart, bones, eyes, and blood vessels, but with early detection and proper care, many lead full and active lives. Our team of pediatric cardiologists recently held their annual Women in Cardiology Professional Development Day. This day allows the women faculty to meet and encourage each other outside of the work environment. The theme for this past year was "Empowerment" they had several amazing speakers including our very own Dr. Saidie Rodriguez. It was a wonderful time of connection, encouragement and inspiration.
