October is #SafeSleep and #SIDSAwarenessMonth and the #NICU team at Children's Hospital of Michigan has been advocating for safe sleep awareness throughout the month to educate both families and staff on infant sleep safety. It is important to always create a safe sleep environment for your child: Place your baby on their back to sleep in a safety-approved crib or bassinet with a firm mattress and fitted sheet. Keep pillows, blankets, and crib bumpers out of the sleep area. Just remember the ABCs of safe sleep: A-Alone, B-Back, C-#ClearTheCrib.
